How he's doing it is a little awkward, but i used to carry my daughter like that a lot. It was more interesting for her to see what I was seeing than to see my neck/hair and stuff going past, the backs of people, etc.

It always worked on my niece to make her stop crying when she was a baby - turn her around and show her stuff, and she got distracted and settled down.

Yeah, I've carried kids facing out in a similar style but the way he's doing it just looks awkward. Maybe it's the bag? Or the way he's so effortlessly just holding her? Idk. Looks weird man.

Yeah, definitely kinda strange, like he's not really got a good grip on her. Her? Maybe he's just got big hands and it's easier and less awkward than when a smaller person does it.
