There is this fandom I follow that's quite... obscure, and tracking the main tag on Tumblr is essentially the only way to find any fan activity on a reliable basis. Anyway, it used to be a quiet tag, some fic, some art, the occasional article, until recently when I started noticing these two people. And I don't understand how it's possible but they're actually almost complete opposites... and I yet I hate them both.

One girl is a huge fan of this group of popular but very controversial characters, and is a self-admitted apologist. She writes long weepy apologist essays, and makes up outrageous theories about other characters who are in canon unambiguously good (like claiming one committed genocide, for instance) to make her favs look better. I like these characters myself, and even I can't stomach that crap.

The other girl HATES these characters with a passion, and not a single post that goes by will let you forget it. Somewhat hilariously, while the apologist calls herself an aspiring philosopher (yeah...), the hater is a crazed MLP fan and has proudly claimed to hate all intellectual things. They are both obnoxious, and unfortunately, prolific as hell.

I just... I don't how these two haven't openly torn into each other already, given the tininess of this fandom. I wish I could lock them in a room together and watch the ensuing carnage, then maybe I won't have to put up with their daily posts that contain obvious snarking references to each other. I want my peaceful fandom tag back.
