that's odd. I'm not anglican myself so I can't say I know much about it, but it's just a branch of christianity, right? I've been christian since a very young age and never have I heard of a church that requires 10%. it's suggested, and sometimes churches will ask people outright to tithe, but it's never been a requirement. which is your part of the world, if you don't mind me asking?

I think you are right. That church sounds very odd and I'm sure the Archbishop of Canterbury would be horrified. The Anglicans aren't like that at all, they are pretty low key and wet most of the time.
