So, I've just listened to Dracula: The Musical for the first time, and considering it combines two of my favourite things in the world (Dracula and musicals), I was hugely disappointed with it and I just want to write my own version of it, the way I think it should be done.

So what are some things that sound amazing on paper but were disappointing in practice?

Are you referring to the only decent part of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"'s script? I would have paid the same amount of money (or even more) just to see that Dracula puppet musical! :D

Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter. The trailer is honestly all you need to get full enjoyment out of it.

And really, there was nothing wrong with movie itself. It's just that 15 minutes it, Jesus cuts his hair and then less than 10 minutes after that he gets an outfit change, and then he no longer looks like Jesus... which is really the main draw. A long-haired, bearded man in white robes battling lesbian vampires. Like it is all about the visual at that point and they sort of threw it away.
