Too lazy to look up the exact ones right now, but the reason the Manhattan clan doesn't speak Scottish Gaelic is because Demona cast a spell on them the night before they woke up. They never even knew mentally that there was a change in the language.
As for the issue of breasts, female gargoyles breastfeed their children after they hatch out of the eggs.

The languages have different structures and syntaxes so it should still be gibberish. And what was the point of Demona making them able to understand English, how does that help her at all? She could totally have gotten a hold over them if she'd been the only one able to translate for them after all.
And the breastfeeding thing just makes me go "so why do they lay eggs in the first place then?"
