So, I like to dream up my own self-insert companion character, right? There's nothing romantic between her and The Doctor. But I like to imagine that lots of people ship them. I'll hear a song on the radio and imagine the shipper fanvideos people would make to that song. And I laugh out loud over how people are going to be so butthurt that their One True Pairing will never be canon. Yeah, that's pretty silly.

Almost every Whovian I know would love to be a companion. But you've gone a step further and actually wondered what the fan reaction would be to you as a companion. That's really cool.

And now I'm tempted to make a fanvid of me as a companion to the song "I'm With You." (It's been stuck in my head for a week, okay, give me a break.)

I've never wanted to be a companion. I've wanted to be the Doctor. But then, I'm not like most female Doctor Who fans, apparently?

Actually, a lot of male fans would like to be a companion too, I'm sure. It's funner to be the companion than to be the Doctor, IMO. The Doctor's life kind of sucks, whereas a companion with a happy life can be easily feasible.

Heee...I love this secret! :) There aren't enough great female characters on TV so yay you for making more. Actually I think Dr. Who does pretty well with girl roles, but we can always use more, even if just in your head. <3 Go you!

I imagine my whole life is a show, and I imagine the ship wars, the snarky gifsets, the fix-it fic, the passionate arguments about what's canon, and oh yeah, the crossover fic.

I guess its just part of trying to keeo that kint if realism, even just in your head? I know when i wrote harmlessly appalling self inserts as a kid i never went the 'long lost relative' route because it broke canon too much lol. Kirk can fall in live with my civilian scientist (not ensign bc if fraternization regs!) but she damn well wont be Spocks sister, he has no siblings!!!1 lol
