I love the Raildex universe. There are lots of cool characters and abilities, but the absolute worst thing is the Touma "harem". The character himself is standard shonen hero. He's plain looking, dull, complains how unfortunate his life is despite having the most haxxed power and girls that are way too good for him like him. He never shows any real commitment towards any girl though. Wish fulfillment, harem genre crap. Every time I hear fandom talk about how much of a pimp he is, hoping some girl joins the 'harem', or referring to any of the females as a member of the 'harem' I want to punch someone in the face.

Misaka is one of my all-time favorite female character and I'm content to stay in the Railgun corner of the fandom, but if frustrates me to no end when I see comments saying, "she's my favorite of Touma's harem" or how if she dates Touma he'll have 10,000 girlfriends because of her clones. UGH. It's really maddening to see an amazing female character treated this way.

Too long; didn't read: I hate the harem genre in general, and it's a shame it is in Raildex at all because this series is so much better when Touma isn't around. I wouldn't hate him so much if they didn't throw every cool girl towards him or give him such a haxx power (seriously Accelerator or any of his opponents could have just thrown a building at him or shoot him but ridiculous amounts of PIS keeps this loser alive).

I hate the harem-genre too. I'm fine with reverse-harem, but I don't seek it out.
