Medical issues anon from the other day

I went and saw my doctor. He's pretty sure the whatever-it-is isn't cancer and thinks it might be necrosed tissue (which is still REALLY SCARY to my mind, let me tell you) and I have a referral to get a scan done. The issue now is that everything I read says fat necrosis is caused by pancreatic issues and I already have those, hi diabetes, how you doing. But I am telling myself I'm not being stupid for being concerned but that being too concerned isn't going to help.

Thanks for your comments, guys. Sometimes you need to hear things from people you don't have that intimate connection to, because god knows sometimes I keep health things from my family and friends out of a desire to not burden them.

I'm glad to hear it wasn't cancer, then, even if it is/might be diabetes.

Oh, I definitely have diabetes, I have for years. That's why it being a pancreas issue is concerning, because there's already so much going wrong there. But I have the referral and I'm calling the scan place as soon as they open to get an appointment. It's much easier to feel like it's "okay" to do this when I've had a bunch of people who don't know me tell me it is, if that makes any sense.
