I'm going to LA next week to spend the 4th of July with my college roommate. I've never been to LA or the west coast at all and I'm stupid excited.

What about you, F!S? Any fun travel plans this season?

I'm not going anywhere for the summer, but I'll be doing a tour of Europe in the fall.

Enjoy LA! I've been three times and I always find new fun gems. One thing that was nice the last time we went was hitting up all the food trucks at lunchtime outside of LACMA/La Brea Tar Pits/Petersen Automotive Museum.

You'll be in my hometown! :D Of course LA is so huge, that's almost meaningless. I'm a Valley girl. And like most Angelenos, I cannot really think of anything touristy to do (other than the Getty- seriously, go to the Getty). I once picked up the Lonely Planet LA guide at a library used book sale because I had no idea what would be in it other than some prominent museums.

I am not traveling until August, when I'm going to WorldCon in San Antonio. Okay I might go see my sisters who live on the Central Coast and East Bay Area respectively. My parents are going to ComicCon next month, I'm housesitting. Which is okay, because I'm gonna do D&D then, yay!

I just want to second "Go to the Getty".

The Getty is amazing. It's seriously just amazing.

ooh, that's exciting! I might go to California this summer to visit family and scope out the job market.
