Not telling the answer yet! But I can can give you some clues...

- It's a book series.

- The author has also done a dystopian series involving... beauty issues ( though I haven't read it yet). It's kinda popular in Tumblr.

Correct! It's Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld and, in my opinion, one of the most creative retelling of the First World War.

If only I can give you cookies through the Internet as a present... :)
