These went unguessed in the general fandom one:

1. Famous women from history are buddies with '80s businesswoman. (this is actually a play but hey let's count it)

2. Starship captain rescues alien witch sisters; bad guys pursue them.

3. Artists disappear; kids not sure if real or art project.

3. Reminds me a lot of Chasing Vermeer or whatever. ut #2 sounds interesting

Not Chasing Vermeer. To clarify, it's the artists' (grown) children not some random unrelated kids.

#2 is pretty obscure (never heard it mentioned on F!S, written before my birth) but omg one of my favorite books ever.

I'm not sure what 2 is but it sounds really interesting

It's the criminally underrated The Witches of Karres by James Schmitz!

#2 The Witches of Karres (been years since I read it)

Hell yeah it's The Witches of Karres! Never expected anyone to get that one. I'm the youngest of three girls, and as a child was frequently called the Leewit.

OMG THE WITCHES OF KARRES!!

I read that book approximately a zillion times as a teenager. I should reread. :D
