OP, but do bear in mind that some people might really love your fic and want to leave feedback if it stuck in their head, even months and months after reading it. I do that sometimes- I go back to a fic I realy liked and could've sworn I reviewed, only to find I haven't.

That said, if you really are shy about receiving feedback - and you shouldn't be, because as above anon said you don't have to listen to people - you could just say so. Look, I mean, go right ahead and disable comments if you'd like to; if you won't read them anyway there doesn't seem much point in keeping them. It's up to you, and it's just fic. But if I love a fic, I like the option of being able to tell the author how much I loved it, or what I feel could be improved or whatever.
