Sure, everyone will be used to looking at it in a few weeks, but I hate that the redesign is centered around the most popular people, the most popular communities, the most popular content, like everything else on the internet, except that other places on the internet at least use the data they've collected on you to show you things you might give a shit about, unlike the LJ homepage.

...What did they do now? Mostly when I log in it's because I'm looking a comm I want to reply/post in, so I don't see the homepage.

Nah, I haven't used mine in forever. I just wanted to complain. It's so pathetic when they make such transparently derivative updates to the site, like, didn't THEY used to be the trailblazers everyone was imitating? I guess that was multiple owners ago, though.

I rather like how it looks, but it's not like I'm using it that much anyway.

Aside of being stupid, it's rather spectacularly unpleasant to look at.

LJ's been unpleasant to look at for a while now.

And every time I think it can't look worse, they come out with something new.

I glanced at it, but I'm really removed from Livejournal these days (I don't even know what the new friends page looks like aside from the glimpse I had when it first came out), so, whatever. Let it continue to do dumb shit, I'm just hanging on until they force me to actually participate in said dumb shit.

I haven't looked at the home page in a long time (I'm usually just searching out the die-hard fic writers who haven't left), so I went and looked.

My god, that is shitty.

This doesn't surprise me at all. I'm one of the people who actually left LJ with all of the horrible site redesigns instead of just saying I would.

Hadn't even noticed until you mentioned it. *blinks, shrugs, moves on with life because I don't care about the homepage layout*
