How's your follower count, and what are you doing to attract attention? I find it helps to tag everything I do so people tracking tags will see it, and also to go through the tracked tags for my fandom from time to time and just like/reblog/reply to a lot of things. And follow other people of similar interests, though I kep a lid on the total at any one time.

Also, you may want to install Xkit or a user script that puts specific timestamps on posts, and take note of exactly when people whose stuff gets a lot of notes are posting. If you post during peak hours for your fandom, you'll likely be seen by a lot more people.
