Does Israel have a canon personification? Because there might be two: one for before the Romans showed up, and one for the modern-day Israel, to whom Palestine would indeed be older. Sort of. Actually that brings up the question of what would have metaphorically happened to the first one.... Hmm.

Never mind, I've managed to confuse myself further.

There's also the question of what Palestine would actually be. British Mandate Palestine? Trans-Jordan-Palestine? 67' borders Palestine? 48' Borders? Palestinian Authority? Maybe West Bank and Gaza Strip are two different entities?

It would be more like Palestine was given the Man In The Iron Mask treatment by Israel. The usurping Israel stole Palestine's identity and tried to lock Palestine up in tiny dungeon while denying his existence. When you put a personification on Israel's actions he sure comes across as a dick. I supposed it could be explained by Israel being abused by Nazi-Germany when he was young, and then like so many childhood abuse victims going onto repeat the cycle of abuse on someone else.

LOL no. One sided much?

No, that is pretty fair. Just not in accordance with mainstream American media's presentation of the issue. FTR Israel is not the good guy in the Palestine mess.

First of all, I'm not American. And no one is the good guy. But the Palestinians aren't some poor defenseless woodland critters that the big mean Zionists came and decided to abuse for funsies. Israel did not steal Palestine identity (especially since they did not HAVE an identity until the 1960's, when the term Palestinians as we use it today was born, over 10 years after Israel's creation), did not lock them up in a 'tiny dungeon', and did not repeat Nazi Germany actions. I know it's really fun and cool to be all 'OH, the IRONY! Jews are acting like Nazis now!' but it cheapens the suffering of Holocaust victims and is inaccurate to boot.

The pre-Roman one would be Judea not Israel. Israel is a purely post-war creation.

No it isn't.
