11. oh gosh. I remember reading that book when I was a freshmen, but i was still too young to handle that sort of thing. I... I don't think I could read over it again just because of how much it really scared me. is scared the right word? I don't know.

I think I was a senior when I read it. I'm not sure how badly I would have reacted to it, if things weren't on such a downward spiral in my own life... I had three deaths in six months, and at the time it just seemed so much easiser to blame the book for my breakdown. It really did scare me, so I would use that word... and it wasn't like I thought I was going to be raped. It was just such an ... unsettling thing to read.

yeah i know what you mean. it was really unsettling. i mean, i didn't hate the book... but that part left me shivering. i could barely read the boks climax because i was afraid it would happen again! For a long time I barely read any books for my age group because I was afraid there'd be more of that stuff!
and im rambling sorry!
