My instructor has these tattooed on her thigh. I want to ask if she's a fan like me but I'm afraid she'll think I'm weird. (I saw her in a bathing suit at the beach.)

Uh - she has tattoos that are associated with a musical group. Why would you think she would think *you* are the weird one if you say something like 'oh, love your tattoos, those guys are so great!'
? I mean, really - i'm baffled here.

Uh. You do realize that you can ask her if she likes that band without indicating that you saw her tattoo? Just start talking about cool bands before class or whatever and ~casually namedrop~. And then if she doesn't bite, leave it the fuck alone.
