But you're never going to see a relationship on TV where the woman is overweight, regardless of whether the guy is or not (at least not a "main character" couple and not played as a joke).

Roseanne is a GREAT example. Roseanne is a great television series that's still undervalued. I wish there were more shows with blue-collar families as the stars.
