My opinion of this depends on the fic you comment on, OP

I know one that constantly leaves comments on Teen Wolf fics that aren't Sterek asking the authors to put some Sterek in or lamenting that there was no or too little Sterek. I see her and wish horrible things for her.

Uh, okay...? If you genuinely don't feel bad about it, I just don't see the point of this secret. Are you trying to brag about it or something?

Maybe the fact that they don't feel bad is the secret, because they know that they probably should.

Now I'm curious, what kind of reactions have you gotten back?

Nothing interesting, usually. Just generic polite responses, profuse apologies. Only once when the comment was obvious troll enough (and the fic writer and all her friends SJWs) did people jump in to write paragraphs about their opinions and life experiences and why I was wrong and part of the problem.

I have totally done this to fics shit enough to deserve it. At least 95% of the comments I post are positive ones, though.

Same here, other!anon. I'll leave nice comments on fic that deserve it, but that umpeenth-thousandth Avengers high school!AU fic that's completely shit? Yeah, they deserve my vitriol.

I find it easier to comment on something when I have something negative to say, as opposed to positive.
The words just come easier.

The only comments I ever leave on Archive of Our Own are passive-aggressive/troll comments. This is an unintentional pattern but I don't feel bad about it. I leave my kudos in all the right places, though.

Why would you do that? How is it even possible to be an "unintentional" troll? Are you leaving negative comments even though you *liked* the fic? None of this makes sense...

I'd say you need a hobby, but it's clear you seem to think of this as a hobby of sorts.
