I felt that way about ASoIaF.

They are quite similar. Pretty decent though convoluted storyline, great body count, generally fair treatment to the massive cast, etc. But holy mother of a jpeg the grinding and the fanbase.

Yeah... I haven't stopped caring about it altogether yet, but I'm a little surprised how much it doesn't bother me that I feel increasingly less invested in Homestuck.

Same with Homestuck. Occasionally I still reblogged fanarts, but the comic itself... Eeh, enough with the convoluted storyline that goes nowhere.

I can relate.

This is me and the Transformers fandom.
I still like some of the series but I've made such bad experiences in the fandom that I'm glad I don't want to be in it anymore.

Also I'm glad I don't have to watch the next horrible Bay movie aynmore just to be able to understand what the others are talking about. Phew.

I'm much the same with Homestuck right now. I was into it for a full year or so and then I just started not caring about the series.

I still think it was the people I met in RP who put me off of several characters because of how overinvested they got...

Yep. Started reading in 2010, got into it like I never did before. And stopping reading two years later felt like a weight off my shoulders.
It stopped being fun to read, honestly. Felt like a chore reading updates.
