I feel the same about someone I follow on Tumblr who is obsessed with Richard Speight. I cringe when I see those posts but I like the rest of her blog so I try to scroll past.

I follow her and I don't remember ever seeing this guy. Maybe I just don't check my dash often enough and miss out on a ton of posts *shrug* Anyway, it's her blog and she can do whatever she wants. Blacklist the guy's name and if she isn't tagging, then just unfollow her.

You know, there are a lot of fans who are a little weird in their love for actors.

Mostly10 isn't one of them. At least not to me. She's had actual interactions with Ty Olsson. He knows her name, her face, he recognizes her, they talk. I wouldn't say they're friends, but they're at least aquaintances.

I can see it being a little overwhelming to some people and maybe a bit tiring, but I don't see the creepy. Has there been creepy?

...huh. That makes it actually a little more creepy, to me. If I had a tumblr, I could blog pictures of Goran Visnjic all day long with the awareness that he would never know or care. However, there is a locally famous artist I'm on good terms with, and the thought of tumblr-squealing over him, then looking him in the eye the next day, makes me cringe.

Yep just have to agree there. I think it depends on what this interaction is though. If it's that he knows her as one of his fans then I suppose it doesn't matter so much. If she's a real life acquaintance, then that is truly creepy and odd. There have been a couple of actors who are in fandom popular shows who I've known in real life, and I simply never comment on them at all online, or read stories with their characters in, unless on the periphery (never with smut scenes involving them). I just couldn't, it's too creepy.

I don't know. I mean. I think it's nice how he manages to cheer her up. I don't know her personally, but she doesn't seem to be terribly happy most of the time (I think she's mentioned that she suffers from an anxiety disorder? or depression? something???) and if he cheers her up... It's just one of those things. When you have depression or anxiety, you can go a little overboard with the things that make you feel better.

I think she's harmless. It's not like she writes porn about herself and Ty. ...Wait. Does she?

Her obsession with him creeps me the hell out. I had to unfollow her. Everyone seems to think it is awesome or cute.

This secret makes me a little sad. I mean, I get where anon is coming from--obsessing over a celebrity always has the potential to be creepy, and actually knowing the celebrity in real life on top of that obsession complicates things even more. And yeah, sometimes she posts things that make me double-take a little and say, "woah, that's...not at all something I'd be comfortable with myself."

But Nell is one of the nicest, more level-headed people on tumblr. And you know...it's not really anybody's business but hers and ty's. She's a really lovely person, she's a mature adult, and her relationship with ty seems to be perfectly healthy and good for her in a lot of ways. If it makes you uncomfortable, whatever. You've unfollowed her, you're set. It's up to her and ty to judge what's okay and what's not in this situation, and they don't seem to be having any trouble.

This! Thank you! I don't even really know her, but she has always seemed so nice, so clever, and so sane. I just hate seeing people hating on her. It makes me sad. She doesn't deserve it.
