That particular person is a really, really bad writer, and is also a plagiarist. AO3 suspended her account.

I recognised that story from the "I will be using there real namesssssssssssssssssss".

Ooh, drama! Got time to share some links and/or deets, plz?
I'm bored.

pssst.... fyi, that post you linked to is f-locked. So, if anyone wants to read, you'll need to join the community.

I keep trying to find that entry but the lj changes from a few days ago will not let me access the entry unless I'm logged in, which I can't do at work. It just keeps redirecting me to the stupid and painful looking homepage and makes me want to stab everyone on the LJ development team. This wouldn't be an issue if they'd unfuck their login process but the redirect url when logging in sets off all the alarm bells on my employer's net security.

It's a protected entry.

Whoops! Here is the link to the official report. It's unlocked.

AYRT. Check out the stack of comments on some of her fic. It's pretty easy to tell she wrote them herself.

340 chapters......wow.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-28 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
That's... actually really sad.

I can't help but think this person must have an incredibly lonely life to be investing so much time and energy into plagiarising fanfic and writing comments on her own work.

This person probably has some underlying issues. I mean, she /could/ be trolling, but again, that would be a lot of time to waste on getting a rise out of people, that she could spend doing things IRL. :(

It is really sad. Wow. How unfortunate her life must be.

This link made me sad

That story summary has some warning signs even without the tags.

Did the plagiarized parts stand out because of an increase in quality, or did they plagiarize similarly terrible works?

(Anonymous) 2013-06-27 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
The mods in Stop Plagiarism decided that one was all hers.

It was easy to tell the difference between the plagiarised and non-plagiarised stuff. One lot had decent grammar, punctuation, and made sense. The other...insane babblings sums them up.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-27 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
AYRT. Adding to the above comment, she plagiarised entire stories. And included a link to the plagiarised story in her author notes saying her story was "inspired by" the story she'd stolen. (Same fandom, same characters - NO changes at all.)

(Anonymous) 2013-06-28 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
That's very weird.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-28 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
I don't get that, why are they using real names?

Related to it, I have a drabble kink fic and everytime something new comes up I pop it in the tags. Only recently relised it shows all the tags for all the chapters. I should...stop?

(Anonymous) 2013-06-28 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
The stories were for a wrestling fandom, so I think she was using their real names as opposed to their professional names.

If you've got a long, long list of tags, it might be better to cut them down as much as possible. I know I scroll on by stories with a gigantic list of tags and other people have said the same.

If all your tags are relevant though, you might be able to get away with it. A lot of the excessive tags I see are crap like "all the feels", "I don't even know", "whyyyyyy". Stuff that might make sense to the author but most people aren't going to be looking for those specific tags.
