these 'teehee i'm so edgy' hannibal related secrets are so silly. The food you see there is not ACTUALLY people; your brain can tell that. It's just food that looks good.

Well, speaking for myself, the show has inspired a renewed love of the artistry of cooking in me. It's got nothing to do with being edgy or cannibalism or whatever, it's just the pleasure of watching someone take a lot of care in preparing food and wishing I had the culinary skills to do that myself.

I think it's a bit "teehee" too. I don't watch the fucking show and it's kind of disgusting seeing the images and comments about how delicious it all looks. People seem pretty proud of the fact that they as fans are revelling in the fantasy. Whatever, it just seems "edgy".

I have actually successfully cooked meals based on having played Cooking Mama. I told everyone who oohed and ahhed over my pork chops that it was my grandmother's recipe. (IT WAS MAMA'S)

This show has inspired me to cook more often! (I know how and I'm an okay cook, I just get lazy about making real food when it's just me.) I lie and tell people Alton Brown is my inspiration, though.

I cooked a lot before the show, but now I've gotten both more adventurous and insecure. So I'm making beef heart stew as I write and it smells amazing, but I also keep thinking Hannibal's would look prettier. Doing it wrong, probably.

LMAO I can imagine the scared looks on people's faces if you tell them that Hannibal is your inspiration to cook. They'll be like, "You don't really want to...cook human organs and flesh...do you?"

But Alton Brown's a big inspiration for my interest in cooking so good cover?

Why lie, OP? Are your friends seriously so fickle they'll get mad if you like one cook over another? And I say this being a huge Good Eats nerd/having never watched Hannibal in my life.
