Oh, yeah, we sprinkle the n-word in our conversations like the way Californians use the word, "like." So much so, that it's like we are talking some odd Smurf language only with the n-word.

/sometimes I really hate being Southern because non-Southerners think we are all bare foot, Bible thumping, cousin kissing, gun toting, "Hey, bubba, ya' gotta match for this 'ere cross, 'ere?," death penalty for all but abortions for none, white trash morons.

I KNOW! I grew up a in small town in SC (moved away when I was 22). I almost NEVER heard people using the N-word. And if they did it was like those 3 old white people hanging out at Hardees during breakfast hours who are going to die soon anyways.

Personally, I think it's a bigger taboo to use it in the South than the North because of the history behind it. Like if someone from Brooklyn used it. They would be branded a racist. Someone from the South uses it, they are branded an EVIL racist. The use of the word carries more weight in the South.

Oh god >< I hate it when they do that so much. Even more so because most of the people I know here that *break* the freaking gun laws? Northerners [who do the whole 'But what if I get attacked!/Everyone does it here!' routine.]
