MISFITS ♥

On an unrelated Misfits topic, did anyone watch series 4? I didn't bother since none of my favorites were in it and I heard about what they did to Curtis but I'm still curious if the new characters were decent/if the show still felt the same.

Not OP, but I didn't watch it specifically because Kelly wasn't there. Seriously, no Kelly, no Nathan, it just isn't right...

Yeah, Kelly was the last of the main characters I was genuinely attached to so knowing she wouldn't be there is what made me decide not to watch it.

I watched a bit of it, after Curtis died it was really hard to feel engaged. One of the new characters is super fucking creepy (I understand Nathan/Rudy are bad, but not "tie my girlfriend to the bed, keep her hostage and let her poop in a bucket until she loves me proper without using her powers" creepy), the girl is pretty blah and the other girl, I think I stopped watching after she was introduced proper? Don't even know if she became a main character but it felt like she would.

There were some interesting episodes, but after some bloke lost his penis to a transman who had the power to switch genitals I just gave up I guess.

They seriously introduced a main character who abused his girlfriend? That's...special, I guess. But it kills any interest I had in watching.

It was just super creepy. His girlfriend had the power to control him and used it to make him the "perfect boyfriend" or whatever (he's kind of a douche so I could nearly sympathise) and when he broke free of her power once he tied her up to her bed until he found a cure or she could come to her senses and realise that she loved him the way he was and would stop using her power.

After Rudy frees her they try to be together again, but he's still a douche and she still has her power so she uses it again. In the end she gets stripped off her power by whatshisfacekellysboyfriend and they finally break up. Yaaay.

It's not great, if I'm honest. Oh, it's not bad as such, but I was getting to the stage of thinking "oh thank goodness Rudy's back on the screen."

Wow that's...Rudy was my least favorite in series 3 (well, except for Seth) so hearing that he's the best part about series 4 makes me glad I didn't watch it.

Series 4 was an improvement over series 3, so I'd say it's worth a watch. Looking forward to series 5. Hopefully they're give to give the show an amazing send-off.

You're the first person who's had anything remotely positive to say about series 4 so I'm glad some people enjoyed it.

Is series 5 meant to be the last? If so, maybe I'll give it a go to see how it all wraps up.
