OP I feel like that, I used to care about Tennis, and now I can take it or leave it. I think it's pretty natural and maybe a bit healthy in fact, there's something a bit sad about people who remain obsessive until their dying day. Like when you see grown men wearing football kits, and you've gotta wonder why they haven't grown out of it.

well, for a lot of those older guys, it's a lifestyle. i mean, my cousin's stepdad used to go to games with his siblings and their dad when they were kids because it was a cheap family outing and something they could bond together with as a family. especially with teams being a part of a city/region (unlike the us where teams are franchises and can be moved) i get why the older generations cling to it. most bigger teams charge so much for games now though that it's harder to make it a family experience.

Why is it sad? Why are only "kids" allowed to be passionate about sports? What made you decide that you can declare what people should and shouldn't be interested in as adults?
