i enjoy garrus in the games and i couldn't understand why i wasn't liking him in fandom, before i realized that he wasn't really being allowed to be garrus. he wasn't ever allowed to be anything less than The Coolest and the same people who claimed to love him and stick him in everything bc of that were denying him depth and turning him into an accessory their shep.
