haha true it got to the point in me3 where liara was still coming to my cabin to have ~deep chats~ with my shep while romantic music played and my love interest was on board that i just resolved to never romance her ever on principle

i don't even dislike her (i don't really dislike any of the crew) but it was like geez, i'm not into you, back off already.

I'd probably like Liara if the games didn't keep forcing her on me.

TRUE. I kept wondering why it was always Liara in ME3 rather than Shepard's LI (if they had one). I like Liara but I really hated the in-your-face emphasis that the game gave Liara and Shepards relationship.

Because Liara was suppose to be your best friend, even if she wasn't your lover.But because she was a love interest and they pretty much crammed that down your throat, she became a very badly handled best friend character. All you can do is think "God, not this shit again. Bioware, didn't you get the memo that I said no to her before?"

That and game mechanic wise, she is the only one guarantee to be alive during all of 3.

I'm ok with Liara having an unrequited crush. Those things happen and it's not like you need to do anything with it. I'm more offended that it gets dribbled out through writing that makes parodies of soap operas look good.

Ugh, this. I ended up really disliking Liara because of that, though I would have liked her as the bff/little sister type (though Tali still beats her out for that role).

Late to the party but truueeeee. I wanted to like her so bad but she keep having ~DEEP MOMENTS~ with my Shepard and it was so painfully awkward. I shut here down in ME1 and yet here we are in ME3 still dancing away from her
