You're likely right. As people have said, it's a different kind of love. Not only that but fictional characters (even the horrible evil ones) are an ideal. You don't have to directly deal with them leaving their socks on the floor or not calling. They but they also can't cook you dinner or cuddle up to watch TV or whatever other day to day things you'd do with a partner/loved one.

And that's okay, OP! Different loves bring different things into your life and that, if you ask me, is awesome!
