I usually hate harem anime. And this one in particular has so many problematic aspects. Groping "psycho-lesbians", a yandere played for laughs, and it's filled with ecchi humour and there's this guy who keeps taking pictures of girls, and then there's jiggling and bouncing and god knows what else.

And yet. It's so fucking funny, especially when it does not rely on that sort of humour. And Minami's backstory (about how she moved from Germany to Japan and had huge communication problems because she didn't understand the language well) moved me to tears. And I just genuinely ship every single harem-member with the main character. (Well, except for his sister.)

I never like harem anime, but the english dub for this is hilarious and I actually enjoyed it.

This show is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's just so damn funny.

Uh, it's NOT a harem anime. The main character has two love interests, sure, but all the other girls like entirely different guys. And the gender ratio is more-or-less even. It's a wacky romantic comedy.

That said, I agree with you that it is goddamn hysterical. I've NEVER found an anime funny before this.

Halg of your complaints make no sense. The great thing about this show (and one of the reasons I love it so much) is that it doesn't sexualize the female characters too much. In fact, it sexualize the male characters a lot more and has a lot of fanservice for girl with the male characters.

It has fanservice for the male viewers, but it has so much for the girls that I don't mind it.
