Just curious, what problems do people have with WW? He always comes off as mostly harmless, slightly egotistical nerd-bro to me. Was there some major controversy he was involved in?

Nope, no major controversy that I'm aware of. I stopped following him awhile ago, he just bothers me and most of the issues are just personal preference, you know? Personality and whatever that I have a problem with.

I'd go into more detail but whenever I mention having a problem with him and talk about why I get a bunch of people piling on me about how wrong and dumb I am and how awesome he is. Trying to avoid that this time.

Not the OP [obviously] but...personally it really seems like pushes his opinions really hard on his own blog, and sometimes comes off...witch-hunty, for lack of a better word, towards groups that don't agree with him, which is something that rubs me the wrong way. Idk if that's what the OP doesn't like but -shrugs-

That said, I just don't follow him and all is well.

Let me think of how to put this...it's not I'm for X - a lot of it is I'm against -ENTIRE GROUP- and honestly, kind of bashing those groups in ways that kinda aren't cool.

Seems like he mostly "bashes" GOP members who are trying to legislate women's bodies, creepy misogymists and other assholes, so actually, I'm pretty cool with him doing that. Fuck all those fuckheads.

It's the "other assholes" I have a problem with, as anyone who thinks differently than him can be bashed pretty harshly and his followers set against. He's quick to jump to conclusions and emotionally react. And I'm also of the school of thought that being a dick to people who disagree with you just makes you a dick. There is a way to respectfully disagree and state your opinions without bashing and being an asshole on their level.

Well it's not as if what we see in the photos and cons etc. tell the whole story of a relationship. Just think of all those celebrity couples who seem cute and lovey dovey and then the break up happens and all the 'real' stories come out.
