soooo what's the story behind the pretty peacock? 'cause that is a pretty peacock

Oddly enough, I'd been thinking for months about getting a peacock feather tattoo 'cause I've always been fascinated with them. This pic/secret makes me want more than just a feather now. ;)

IMO, as totally a tattoo expert (not), I tend to find peacock feather tattoos kind of bland and uninteresting, whereas full peacock tattoos usually tend to be really beautiful and elegant. Definitely go for more than just a feather. =P

(Don't listen to me if you really want that peacock feather, it's seriously just my opinion.)

Sorta on-topic?

My sister and I wanted to get tattoos (I got them before her, lol), but our mom never was fond of that idea. It wasn't until she started to watch Miami Ink and the stories behind every tattoo. Now she even wants one.
kyuusei: This is Iggy being adorable. Not that it's difficult. (Default)

I *love* watching Miami/NY/LA/etc. Ink. I even love watching that show where the bad tattoos get covered up (or not). It's neat seeing what people come up with.

[Picture is a beautiful watercolor painting of a peacock.]

Fandom made me realize tattoos could be beautiful. I am getting a similar image on my shoulder. Before fandom I never would have considered it.

Good on you, OP, for letting your mind be opened! :) Just be sure you - research your artist, see a portfolio of their tattoos (not just their art), be sure they're licensed in the state you're in and follow all guidelines about sterile equipment, and etc, and..... Make sure you *like* them, and the shop.

Good luck and have fun!

fandom made me want tattoos too, but then i saw how they were made and balked

i don't want little bits of ink trapped inside my skin D: D: D:

I'd love to get a tattoo, but I wouldn't know where. I have problematic skin, so anything on the back or chest area is out, I don't want anything on my legs, and arms and hands are too visible.
I'd love a blacklight tattoo, because that would be cool, but the colours used for those .... isn't exactly healthy I read.

Maybe your side? Or back of your neck if you have long hair you can hide them with? You could always go sit down with an artist and see if they can give you suggestions! =D
