Same. My D&D group always picks our classes for balance, and tries to change who's doing what each campaign (so the same person isn't the healer every single time).

Maybe OP could pick a new character for maximal party balance. If they felt particularly vindictive, they could make the greatest healer ever built and refuse to heal the copycat's PC.
OOC crappyness? Yes. But at the risk of sounding 5 years old, copycat was an assclown first.

And re: your below. Pathfinder is the greatest. I love that you don't need to go into a PRC to get maximal flavor.

That is exactly how the game should be played, but a lot of people don't seem to grasp the concept of party balance. I'm in an AD&D 2nd edition revised game at the moment (because fuck 4th edition, the best setting ever is clearly Spelljammer and also DarkSun) and we've been finding that out the hard way. We have a fighter (kensai), paladin, cleric (Gondsman), wizard and two bards (one Gallant, one Riddlemaster. No thief, and most importantly, NO RANGER. In a game set in the Icewind Dale. So far we have nearly frozen to death twice as well as realising that none of us know how to hunt. Or start a fire. Good times.
