I can kind of understand. For Supernatural RPF, I prefer the ones where they're...actors who work on a show called Supernatural. (I don't mind slight AU elements - lack of marriage, for example - but then I don't enjoy infidelity angst.)

If it's a Jared/Jensen astronaut AU, all that's recognizable is the names. Why not just do a Sam/Dean astronaut AU?

Some people prefer J2 because it's not incest - maybe that's why?
