Alcohol most definitely does taste like ass to me in every form. We don't all enjoy the same things and I expect others to respect that and not to try and pressure me into drinking.

That said, I don't really care if other people drink or if a character is shown drinking so long as it isn't being glorified. I can understand not wanting to see your favorite characters drink if you experience lots of pressure from friends to drink or have a violent drunk in the family. Media also tends to support the incredibly dumbass idea that if you don't drink then you must hate fun.

WHAT BEER there are different varieties that TASTE DIFFERENT and are even made differently

For example, I think IPAs taste like shit because they are hoppy and bitter but Hefeweizen is fine with me because it is smooth and kind of on the sweet side, and mostly made of wheat

To some people, the actual taste of the actual alcohol is the problem. I spent a lot of years in my youth continuously trying things people swore up and down (after I spat them back out because alcohol) you couldn't taste the alcohol in, but I could.

I guess I just have a sensitivity to it or something.

The second best part of the meds I gotta take (after, you know, the actual effect) is that assholes have stopped telling me to try booze as if I couldn't possibly have made up my mind about that on a sane basis. Because "incompatible with my meds" is apparently a valid reason not to put things in my mouth, unlike "tastes horrible to me".

It wasn't a yes/no question, but I think I see where you're coming from.

I hate it when people say you have to drink to have fun. You don't. I have never been drunk and I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I kind of feel sorry for them, like...is that your only way to have fun? your only resource?
