I couldn't disagree more, and -- quite frankly -- think you're either sadly ignorant or merely trolling.

But leaving that aside, the fact still stands. If you haven't tried every single incarnation of something, you simply cannot say that it "tastes like ass, no exceptions".

I'm not trolling, and if you think everyone processes the sense of taste in the same way that you do, you're the one who's "sadly ignorant." There are people all up and down this thread, myself included, who have tasted multiple kinds of alcoholic drinks and have always experienced the same horrible alcohol taste. I don't know why you think we're all lying.

I don't like the taste of alcohol either but I can tell you that import vodka and cheap beer are very different kinds of nasty.

Right, because of the taste of the hops and whatnot in the beer, which is an additional (nasty, imo) taste. But the alcohol taste isn't different - it's just weaker in beer. Anything with enough alcohol in it to notice has a flavor I find caustic and almost medicinal.

you are not lying about the experience, but op thinks that experience (alcohol being the overwhelming taste in any drink ever) is the norm

I'm not agreeing with the OP; I know that other people experience the taste of alcohol differently than I do. I'm just sick of being told that MY experience is objectively wrong, or that I have to choke down every kind of booze in existence before I can say that I don't like the taste of alcohol.
