I don't drink, and in fact cannot stand the texture of alcohol. HOWEVER, I don't see anything wrong with people who do, and you really shouldn't be so disgusted by people who do. Contrary to what you (seem to) think, some people drink because they like the taste (or texture) of the alcohol, or because they enjoy the feeling they get when they're a little tipsy. Some people can, and do, control the amount they drink. Not everyone who drinks is an alcoholic. And even if someone drinks for 'negative' reasons (such as being an alcoholic, or wanting to escape reality, or to seem cool in the minds of their friends) that does not in any way make them a bad person.
No one's perfect, and we all have flaws. Enjoying alcohol is not necessarily a flaw, either.
The more you know, right?

I haven't experienced that, but *shrug*, everyone's different.
