Why? I'm curious. I'm a Madoka/Homura shipper, but I also love some rarer combos (mainly Mami/Kyoko and Homura/Kyoko).

Ah, I see what you mean. I did feel like Homura's love for Madoka was partially her fixating on the first person who was kind to her, but I still love them because I saw sparks of what could've been a healthy, even relationship under different circumstances, and the conflict of overcoming what's getting in the way of that just makes them more interesting to me. But I can see why you (or the OP, if s/he had the same reasoning) might see it differently. I don't mean to discourage anyone either; just wanted to share my take on it in return.

I just...prefer them as friends. I can only think of their relationship as platonic, which is really odd, because I don't have this problem with the other pairs. I mean, I love their friendship (and Homura's my favorite character), but romantic interpretations? Eh.

Hell, I'm confused myself as to why I don't ship it. It's the most popular ship, and probably the one with the most 'evidence.' I've tried to like it, but it doesn't do it for me.
