I'm having flashbacks to high school, where geeking out over something interesting resulted in cries of "nerd! no one cares!" because apparently nothing is more desperately uncool than thinking something is cool - or UNcool in a way you should care about.
Guess what: some people care. That does not make them "Social Justice WARRIORZ!" (insert anime cutscene here), that makes them... people who care. Shouting at them to shut up, or calling them dismissive names, just makes you a jerk who can't let other people have fun without trying to shut it down.
