Well, I don’t really know what to say about this other than it’s clearly about me and several of my closest friends.

I’ll be honest, my main three reactions were:

1) Is that a Lauren/Serena bash? But wait, I created Lauren/Serena. Omg, that means anon thinks I’m a BNF, and I will now spend several moments flailing about that.
2) Them be fightin’ words.
3) I’m trying to think of what Crack!Ships Deker is in… unless you mean Deker/Jayden and then I’m just *handwaving* done with you.

Look anon, no one made you read this stuff. It may show up in the fandom tags on AO3, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only stuff there. And see, here’s my main problem with your secret- I’m not really okay with you queer erasing me here. Because “Normal canon ships” are firstly, all het if they exist at all, and secondly, BORING. There would be nothing to write about if we just stuck to the canon ships. What fandom, in the history of EVER, has just stuck to the “normal canon ships”?!

Also, a lot of people DO write the canon ships. There are bunches of Mike/Emily and Kevin/Mia fics out there for you to go read, so what, exactly is your problem? In fact, there are probably far more of the “normal canon” fic variety out there than our crack stuff, and for you to say you’re annoyed with us even having put it out there is just. Well. Egocentric.

This is a personal attack, save for the fact that it doesn’t name names. And this is also a pretty small fandom, so if I find out who you are, I will do absolutely nothing to you save for sit and stare at you in disapproval. Because I’m not a mean person, I don’t hate. And I don’t like to spread hate, I say Ship and let Ship, and I don’t try and piss on anyone’s parade. We’re not interfering with anything you’re doing, just like you making a silly secret isn’t going to stop any of us from writing crack and enjoying it. That’s part of fandom, dude. Get used to it.

Normally, I’d tell you just to not read it if you don’t like it, but since you took the time out of your day to complain, specifically, about some of my work and my favorite works, I think I’ll just tell you to go read it all over and over again until you become accustomed to it.


And you know what, also, fuck you, you’re secret is ugly.
