That really ripped the heart out of that plot line. They spent all the time building up to him dying, and then just bringing him back like that. Cheap guys, and the whole "ascends to another plane of existence" cop out..that was just poor writing.

Don't get me started on how female characters are either prostitutes or mothers either. Add in the blatant anti-semitism, pro-colonialism theme (render unto Cesar?) and the left-wing anti-capitalism stuff and it is a very problematic work.
