That's the last game I beat for the first time, too. I also loved it, probably because it's perfect in every conceivable way.

You should go back and replay 999 now that you've finished VLR, if you haven't already. The added perspective almost makes it feel like a different game.

Yeah, I'd been thinking about that, especially since the way things turned out for my OTP from that game has me all sad about them and thinking of writing depressing fic. ;) (My icon has never been so true...)
