Huehuehue

I know who inspired this secret. Don't worry op we're not all like them.

I don't get this at all, can someone explain?

Pictures Tomoko.

She's the lead character in a cringe comedy manga (soon to be anime) called 'It's Not my Fault I'm Not Popular' "The heroine of the series, who is often depicted as desperate, lonely and often deranged, going to various lengths to try and be more popular with others. She has a grim outlook on life and often has heavy bags under her eyes. She is also rather perverted at times, often imagining dubious situations with boys or lusting after her friend, Yū."*

*She's also obsessed with fiction with it often being the frame of reference through which she views the world, and she spends most of her time in front of a computer.

Not the anon you replied to, but thanks!

ARYT thanks, I had no idea who this was or how it related to FS. Still not sure about the latter but it makes more sense.

Sounds really sad, I feel sorry for this poor character. It's one thing to isolate yourself and be OK with it, but very sad to be desperately trying to be liked and not getting anywhere.

Thanks for the info. This secret made little sense without it.

...that...far too accurately describes 90% of us here at F!S I feel...

...haha thank you. I thought that was Rukia

[Picture is Tomoko, the lead character of the manga "It's Not My Fault I'm Not Popular". She is a girl with medium-long dark hair sitting in front of a computer and looking a little shocked. There is the dialogue "There's no replies..."]

Reading this I was struck by the thought she could be a Fandom Secrets regular, and it's irrevocably changed how I see the character and the commenters here.

Are you implying it's a bad thing?

How does it change your view? And for every commentator? Like, you do know we're all different people right? We can’t all possibly be exactly like that character. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this.

cloud_riven: Cute cigarrette box and coffee cup, with smiley faces, holding hands! Adorable! (bff)

This is a good secret and you should feel good all of the time.

Wow, I'm reading this manga now... I identify too much with this girl. My middle school and high school experience was pretty much like this: wanting to be noticed, but being invisible because I was too stressed and socially inexperienced to interact with people.
