Frankly, that kind of 'self insert' into a fandom is a lot more interesting to me than 'i meet actor a and we have hot sex!!!' Because...ew, no.

So much more fun to be a person who gets to see them work, hang out, interact and enjoy who they are without any kind of weird emotional 'stuff' or drama or whatever.

When I get into a new fandom I start imagining I am a makeup or special effects makeup artist hired for the show or film and I become friends with the cast. We have fun chats and sometimes goof around for behind the scenes stuff.

I barely know how to apply eyeliner in real life.
