Which frustrates me to no end, because I love fuck-or-die tropes but get squicked as hell by most other aspects of omegaverse. Lately it seems like all the fuck-or-die kinkmeme prompts and fills are a/b/o, and I just... nooooo. Dammit, fandom, can't I get some sex-pollen fics without a side order of mpreg and squicky power dynamics?

Yeah, I'm with you there. I'd rather deal with straight up sex pollen to. There is still some around, but it'd be great to have some Fuck or Die variety.

Yeah, I don't even really like reading the squishy bits, but I do like the sex-pollen fic. I thought maaaaybe ABO would be sorta the same, and I've tried to read it every now and again, but it's just...

-squicky slave dynamics.
-weird socio-political badness that never makes sense for a sustainable society.
-rendering female characters completely unnecessary to the point that it's a little confusing when they show up.
-weird inhuman biology.
-a weird sameness-of-character when every single character can talk about every other character's sexual lives as if discussing the weather.

And the squishy bits seem worse. More rapey. I dunno.
