(Anonymous) 2013-07-07 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)I also can't understand people 'leaving' fandoms for another one. Sure if you stop liking the show or there are a lot of dicks in the fandom, I get it. But just stopping everything in its tracks because a new show you like started and NOPE NOT A REAL FAN IF THERE'S MORE THAN ONE is utterly weird to me. Sure, I spend more time in new fandoms when I first get into them, but I'd never abandon my old ones.
I'd say I'm heavily in at least 10 fandoms and I've never 'forgotten about' any of them. And as for more minor ones, well I don't know how many, but if I like a thing and there's any sort of fandom for it at all, I would consider it one of my fandoms, even if I rarely participate.
