I didn't take original Anon's statement to mean that you had to stick with it forever and ever, just that they can only handle one active fandom at a time. It may stop when they lose interest and they move on to another one, but only one major interest at a time.

Is my life supposed to stop in the weeks that I don't get my pull list from the comic book store? (Not that I have one anymore.) What about on the six days of the week that I'm not watching that show?

How do you maintain only one interest at a time given that TV is on a weekly schedule with months on break (that's just the American schedule and not the schedule for British specials like Sherlock), and comics are on a monthly schedule?
