I love Star Trek: DS9, but I can't deal with Sisko, or rather Avery Brooks' acting.

It has to be the role, because Avery Brooks was really good in American History X.

I've heard that, but the character is actually pretty cool. His acting is just wooden and unnatural. Maybe he got some really bad direction or something?

That is a possibility because he didn't seem wooden in that movie. Or maybe he was newer to acting? :D
