Signal-boost for them. Tell your friends who like that kind of music about the band, play them a couple of tracks. Smaller, more independent bands don't have the radio access or the corporate promoters getting their work out there, so word-of-mouth advertising is a lot more valuable for them. If you get a couple of people who DO have the money to buy albums interested in the band, you've indirectly contributed to their success, which might help to expiate some of your piracy guilt.
