Hal Jordan. I love the concept of Green Lantern and the whole big intergalactic space opera setting, but Hal needs to GTFO forever. I wish DC would kill him off and let Kyle Rayner or John Stewart or Guy Gardner take his place permanently.

I have actually heard this from a couple of other comic fans (especially in regards to casting him in the Justice League movie).

He totally did die for a while! Went bad and stuff, and then Green Lantern as a series kind of just petered out for a while.

Still not sure if the Parallax retcon was needed to revitalize the series, but at least it got me GLC to read (aka, the series that is not focused on Hal).
